The open flexible design of the classrooms and purpose-built specialty labs of this STEAM floor are tailored to Avenues project-based learning.  Glass garage doors and glass movable folding partitions are designed to allow rooms to expand and contract based on the projects and curriculum. Tackable surfaces, moveable writable panels, projection screens and flexible furnishings are designed to make the most of even corridor spaces. Dedicated pin-up and gallery displays, niches and nooks were designed to stimulate creativity and encourage students to work at different scales.

Instructional areas like the Fab.Lab and art rooms are designed with state of the art equipment and convenient space planning to invite high tech exploration. These generous spaces hav sturdy stable industrial furnishing and finishes that also allow for low tech manual project. Science and seminar rooms are connected to allow for flexible instruction.  They can open up to each other by moving walls and panels.  The configuration of these rooms promotes collaboration between disciplines and cross-curricular activities.
