For this newest Vivvi location, Eleven of Eleven created a cozy school inside an existing residential building. The campus is considered an extension of Eleven of Eleven’s successful design for the school at Hudson Yards. The team members were all very familiar with the programmatic requirements and the project brief. The challenges unique to this site were salvaging existing elements in the renovation process and coordinating with the landlords’ requirements.

This residential corner of western Midtown Manhattan is a desirable and convenient location for a school. Eleven of Eleven’s design nestles the main entrance from the plaza facing River Place Park Playground and welcomes all to the school with colorful graphics.

Our bright and open floor plan reveals Vivvi’s commitment to high-quality care and education and raises the school’s visibility in the neighborhood.

Eleven of Eleven crafted each classroom to maximize educational space and create storage in strategic locations. With children’s and adult bathrooms, a multipurpose room, staff spaces, circulation and storage, our design for this location makes the most of every inch of floor space. Soaring ceilings are subdued down to children’s height with color, fun materials, and warm wood features that are all below four feet in height. We designed this school’s material palettes for good, clean, fun!
